Direct Support Professional, Brooklyn, NY - January 27, 2017
I worked in a residence in Brooklyn. The individuals in the house were misdiagnosed. They were not mrdd. They were mentallly ill. Should have been in a facility where people are trained to deal with such behaviors. The direct care staff was put in situations like we were psych doctors. And if u gave the wrong advice u got in trouble. Management want u to falsify documents and work like a slave. No lunch break, no lockers, just pure drama in those residents. I would never work in a group home/residence again. No team work and very unorganized.
