Management is a bummer
PATIENT ADMITTING SPECIALIST (Current Employee) –  Rancho Mirage, CAApril 16, 2017
The job itself is fantastic and the patients are great. Unfortunately, it is about who you know and not what you know. I have had some very poor management and it has made work a struggle for me.

The most enjoyable part of the job
Case Management Mammography Nurse (Current Employee) –  Fort Gordon, GAApril 11, 2017
The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to support women with breast cancer. I formed a breast cancer support group that met monthly and a breast conference. I love this job also.

Patient Admitting Specialist Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Rancho Mirage, CAMarch 29, 2017
This is the most amazing place to work.
Everyone really is Family. This is not the typical cliche statement, it is truly a Family. I miss working there, the only reason I'm no longer there is because I moved out of state.

Medical Data Entry Specialist (Former Employee) –  Rancho Mirage, CAMarch 11, 2017
Alway watch your back and be careful who you trust. The work environment can be very toxic and favoritism is a problem. Older employees and people with work experience are often overlooked for promotions.

Great Hospital

Terrible place to work. Very punitive environment.
When the snow birds go home. You flex a lot! Income drops for 4 months. The administration is focused on profits, even if you have to lie to the patient to do an extra exam.

Monitor Tech/Unit Clerk-Full Time (Former Employee) –  Rancho Mirage, CAMarch 4, 2017
I have never experienced such great team work as I did at this hospital. The staff here worked so well together. Some of the best nurses I have ever seen came out of this enviroment.

Civil service employment with soldiers on staff.
STAFF RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST (Former Employee) –  Fort Gordon, GAFebruary 3, 2017
The equipment was old, and a mix of technology, as there were daylight cassettes in a non-daylight processing darkroom. The staff would change constantly, as the soldiers came and went.
I enjoyed working in the O.R., as there was physician teaching happening in there.
Pros
Job security when working with the government.
Cons
Poor equipment made the job harder than it needed to be.

RN Travel Nurse (Former Employee) –  ranch mirage CADecember 30, 2016
I had a wonderful experience at EMC as a traveler in the PACU. The environment was clean, friendly and I had everything I needed to accomplish my tasks. Their technology is up to date, newer equipment. Management was friendly and easy to talk with. I did not have any issues while working there for almost a year. Great place.

Management terrible
Rehabilitation Technician (Former Employee) –  Ann Arbor, MIDecember 28, 2016
They attempt to hire within the company which isn't good because the lack of experience causes issues. Management was not fair and made things. Why personal. But the clients were great and a joy to be around.

Don't walk away from this place, run as fast as you can!
inmate (Former Employee) –  Rancho Mirage, CANovember 7, 2015
Extremely punitive environment. Medical director makes sure everyone knows she is in charge and that if you don't agree with her, you won't have a job in the morning. Management is absolutely clueless about how to run the department. Equipment is old. Staff is in complete fear that at any moment they will be out of a job because the medical director is vindictive if you challenge anything that she says. Benefits are a joke. You are nothing more than a number in this organization. Management is untrusting and incapable of understanding what goes on in the department because they have no idea what anyone's job in the department truly is. Zero direction from management. If you don't agree with medical director, you are told that she is a doctor and that her husband is on the board of the hospital. I have never seen a more "knee jerk reaction" form of management in my life. Place is incapable of improving because management has not a clue of what they are doing there. Absolutely the worst place to be. No quality of life at all. If you are salary, you are expected to work 60 hours a week. Don't consider this place at all. Run far and fast from this poor organization. There is a reason that the patients have chosen to get treatment at the other facilities in town.

Eisenhower is a joke
CPT/PCT (Current Employee) –  Rancho Mirage, CANovember 4, 2015
This hospital should not be anywhere near magnet recognized. The CNO make a very tedious and horrible working conditions as well as environment. making cna's get a cpt license and hurting patients. specimens being mislabeled or tampered with. For the most part RN's are lazy and the CNO and Directors feel that everyone but the nurses should pick up the slack and not properly paying the CNA's, CPT's, or better yet the people with the dual role. out of the whole valley Eisenhower is the lowest paying spectrum and only pays minimum and enforces to have multiple job roles with low pay.
Pros
oppurtunity to make overtime.
Cons
pays bare minimum and have multiple job roles.

Not Bad
Patient Accounts Represenative (Current Employee) –  Rancho Mirage, CAOctober 8, 2015
Lots of changes taking place, not a bad thing as there is always room to grow and exceed expectations. Its has its ups and downs just like every other place you have been employed at. For the most part I have not had a day where I sighed because I had to go to work. If you don't take things personally you will do great.

Boss, Hours and Overtime

Maturity Levels of Co-workers
