Overall not a good place to work
Porter/Maintenance (Former Employee) –  Cheshire, CTJune 14, 2017
To the plumber that wrote the review on March 23. We all know that you are not a nurse. You should have your head examined for a possible brain hemorrhage.

Get with the program and plum your fixtures.

Beautiful facility and friendly coworkers
Nursing employee (Current Employee) –  Cheshire, CTMarch 23, 2017
I enjoy working at Elim Park.

The three reviews below are from one disgruntled HVAC employee who doesn't work here anymore.
It's amazing what some people will do to spread their hateful thoughts. Move on!!

Elim has a Starbucks on campus, brick oven pizzas can be purchased for lunch, a market - (to pick up essentials, snacks, gifts, or even a rotisserie chicken), a pool and gym for the employees to enjoy, and underground parking to keep you car safe from the elements! Great perks.

My experience is that the managers are kind and most people are great to work with!

If you like working with the elder population, you will love working at the beautiful Elim Park!
Pros
Amenities, co workers, work/life balance, continued growth of the organization
Cons
like anywhere some employees can be negative

Watch your surroundings
Housekeeper (Current Employee) –  Cheshire, CTMarch 5, 2017
If you go to work in the maintenance dept, beware of the plumber. The maintenance department had a very good hvac technician. The plumber deliberately sabotaged the last hvac tech's work.

Use caution. If you go to work here, watch your surroundings.

Cons
a few miles distant to highway, heavy load long term, no paid breaks or extended shift to earn break so u work 7.5 hours instead of 8

former employee (Former Employee) –  ctOctober 11, 2015
if you decide to work here, you should not trust anyone!!!! The people who work here will stab you in the back anyway they can. From management to cleaners, there is no one safe. Don't trust all the smiles they give you. it is all a show.

Chosen Golden Boys running the show right into the ground!
Nursing (Former Employee) –  Cheshire, CTJune 10, 2015
New administration very BAD- only put on a show - employees overworked - under paid - no advancement - they downgrade employees in front of staff, residents and families. Board/president out of touch with what is really going on there - There is a mass exodus of great employees going on - but as they say "there a dime a dozen" Used to be a good place to work - but with a constant rotation of new employees all the time (due to the above reasons) no stability for residents and staff. New admin fired a 30 year staff member on the spot because he did not like her. Feel very bad for the residents - 30+ open positions all the time - never was like that years ago. RUN - look somewhere else!
Pros
free coffee - but you have to bring your own milk
Cons
Residents and fellow employees

Management not in touch with the workings of the floors. Adding more and more work and taking more and more benefits away. Unrealistic demands on staff. High turnover and lack of professionalism
