We're currently accepting resumes for highly qualified National Training Director for Hair Style.
This role is responsible to develop and deliver training for style services to insure consistent guest and technical service delivery. Develop and provide ongoing review of protocols for new and existing services.
Reports to the Vice President of Training and works closely with National Creative Director on vision and development of the department along with operations management and lead technicians.
Mentors and provides guidance to Hair Department Leads
Creates training curriculum for current Hair Stylists and executes nationally, through personal training and through Department Leads, ensuring Leads are fully equipped and able to transfer knowledge to others; monitors program success and makes recommendations.
Creates training curriculum for Hair Assistants and coaches Leads and GM to monitor progression.
Creates trade test for candidates to yield high success rate among new hires.
Evaluates department needs, including review of Guest Experience Survey data, and develops training programs to provide continued development of technicians.
Develops relationships with external sources to network and establish recruiting sources.
Monitors performance of technical staff and provides feedback to General Managers.
Maintains retail sales "behind the chair" when needed.
Uses feedback from the Guest Experience Survey to improve service delivery.
Leads by example, communicates with guests and staff by demonstrating professionalism, friendliness, sophistication and confidence.
Communicates often with Operators to discuss departmental needs and appropriate solutions.
3+ years of training experience in multi-unit beauty/spa divisions
Applicable license (as required by location)
Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
Planning and time management skilsl to effectively plan and organize multiple tasks and accomplish goals.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with diverse personalities.
Proven experience in recruiting productive technical staff members from the beauty industry
Strong leadership skills, with ability to build and maintain positive , productive working relationships.
Ability to set clear goals, provide feedback/coaching, monitor productivity goals and evaluate results.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical and administrative skills.
Self-motivated to work independently with little or no direction.
Flexible, reliable and available to work various schedules, including weekends and holidays.
