Lipstick on a Pig
Manager (Former Employee) –  HoustonApril 27, 2015
The people in charge are not good people. One came from a company he had previously ran into the ground. The company is in serious financial distress. Singapore leaders lie to the U.S.-based workers. Ask about their turnover of personnel. Ask where their offices will be located in July. Coffee machines are nice. If you get called by one of their recruiters, don't do it.
Pros
Location, for now
Cons
A Shell game, you won't win

EMAS has been a great place to work and has afforded many opportunities in different facets of the Subsea market. Excellent management team that leads by example. Everyone is extremely friendly and willing to help out wherever they are needed.

Business Development Dpt a Joke
private (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXMay 20, 2014
Business Development department, proposal coordinators in particular are treated like second class citizens. "Together we Deliver" is the company's motto. Coordinator's are NOT ALLOWED to help each other. If you are considering a position in that department, beware. That whole floor is a joke - nothing but gossip and stabbing each other in the back. If you aren't in with the cool crowd, forget it. Think twice before you consider this place.
Pros
Benefits, building grounds are beautiful
Cons
Politics, gossip and BD group is a joke

Zero integrity amongst management
Employee (Former Employee) –  HoustonJanuary 11, 2013
Poorly managed company. Finances are questionable. Credit rating is low. Management consistently lies to employees, but boosts their base pay to bribe them to stay. Its a house of cards. Be leary. Employees who are greedy accept jobs for above market pay, then are miserable everyday because they hate their job, but are priced out of the market so can't leave. Singapore culture is one of King and subjects. Complain and you will be fired.
Pros
high base pay
Cons
management has zero cedibility

Equipment Technician/Pipe-lay Operator (Current Employee) –  OffshoreOctober 19, 2013
As an equipment technician. I am responsible for maintaining Tensioners, winches, aligners, cranes, forklifts, tuggers and other equipment used by the vessel.
Co-workers are great.
The hardest part of the job is being away from the family for a month or more at a time.
