Staff/Faculty, Daytona Beach Campus (Current Employee) –  Daytona Beach, FLMay 15, 2017
Embry-Riddle is a decent place to work, depending on what you're doing. The leadership is at moderately high levels is fine and easy to work with. At the top they're disorganized and changing opinions fairly often. Generally the people making the final decisions are looking at revenue, not good business practices.

A productive environment where you indulge yourself in a variety of engineering fields and force yourself to think outside the box and you get to meet new people everyday. Interesting how engineering can be so addictive.

IT Lab Assistant, Conference Assistant (Former Employee) –  Daytona Beach, FLDecember 29, 2016
It was a good job where you could work and still have enough time to concentrate on research. The work was straight forward and very routine. The best part of the job is you can concentrate on your studies and the knowledge required to do the job is very basic and rudimentary.
Pros
Good hours and lot of perks
Cons
Odd hours

Campus Director (Former Employee) –  Colorado Springs, CODecember 15, 2016
The work life balance is not great. As any job you have to keep up with numbers. Depending on who your direct supervisor is ...is how your work and morale life will go.

This job was great while I was working on my undergraduate degree. I was able to do my homework while managing the computer labs. If there was something to be done it was always low stress.

Great Place to work, but working at the Main Campus is more desirable
Assistant Campus Director (Current Employee) –  FloridaOctober 26, 2016
The students and office that you work with really make this position a joy. The major downfall is that senior leadership is offsite and depending on if the current director likes you will determine you annual evaluation.
Pros
great students
Cons
isolation, nepotism, micromanagement, overall bureaucracy. little PTO

Summer program coordinator/counselor (Former Employee) –  Prescott, AZOctober 15, 2016
There are many opportunities for everyone at Embry-Riddle. The faculty is talented and happy to help. The professors are there for you when you need them, and they are not all about research like many other schools.

Hostile work environment
Armed Security Officer (Former Employee) –  Prescott, AZSeptember 20, 2016
The department that I was employed in was a mess. The management had no leadership skills and the employees were hostile to each other. Policies changed weekly and were only enforced on certain employees. The department had no sense of itself.
Pros
Pay and benefits were good
Cons
Office politics were unbearable

Worst Place to work
Academic Advisor/ Instructor, First Year Programs (Former Employee) –  Daytona Beach, FLSeptember 6, 2016
The university does not care about its employees and the president of the college spends money like it grows on trees. Many employees are very nasty to each other. Do not work here.
