Controls Programmer / Startup Engineer (Former Employee), San Antonio, TX – January 17, 2014
Cons: too many to list.
EMD will work you to death if you let them. After working multiple 20-hour days in a row, I asked upper management "What hours of the day belong to the company, and what hours of the day belong to me?" and they replied "I can't answer that", which translates to "All of it."
Electrical Designer (Former Employee), Wichita Falls,TX – October 11, 2013
Pros: fun people
Cons: lots of travel
A typical work day consist of working with an Electrical Engineer, Figuring what needs to be added to electrical drawings, and doing a lot of calculations to figure wire, transformer, and conduit sizes
Electrical Engineer (Former Employee), Wichita Falls, TX – August 5, 2013
Management staff is extremely hostile and combative. Most coworkers and non-engineers are genuinely amiable. Many employees quit due to outright threats by the management staff and other such acts of hostility. Hours are very long and work is tedious - but your efforts will go unrewarded.
