Do not work for this company as an Implementation Specialist! Low pay, your questions can't be answered, poor leadership, terrible training, and dysfunctional culture.
If you have a college degree don't go here! There is no room for advancement. All of the executive hide behind closed doors in another area of the building.

I don't have anything nice to say, so I won't say it at all. That should speak for itself!

Hands down one of the worst places I have ever worked. Was told the pay started at $9.50 an hour and ended up getting paid $8.50 an hour. There was no room for advancement. In the almost 2 years I worked there my department went through 4 managers and those of us who did our jobs and met our goals were treated worse than those who did not. They will promise you anything to get you to take the job. Once in, it is all downhill...most unprofessional place ever!

A typical work day would consist of calling or emailing a minimum of 60 accounts to get payment or payment updates on invoices past due from 31-60 days. Also answering voicemails and issuing credit/debits as needed. Was taught the correct way to speak with customers. Also shown how to work emails more professionally. The hardest part of the job was – more... moving from restaurant business into the corprate world. Things work much differently in the two fields. Very much a learning experience. The most enjoyable part was know that you are able to help customers with any issues they may have and to be able to build relationships with those customers. Co-workers are great. All were very easy to get along with and team players. Management is very much with you every step of the way. Trying to help in any way possible. – less

Many jobs outsourced. Employee heavy workload and low morale. Furthermore, inability to get promoted. As a result, stayed in same postion for many years. Too top heavy and no leadership from executives. Very fast paced with allot of weekend work. High turnover due to low pay and no bonuses. I liked the job and environment but the company moved to El Paso, TX.

They will hire people and end up outsourcing that whole department six months later. This is still happening in their Nashville offices.

Life moves at a rapid pace at Emdeon. There is a constant change in expectations which is fueled by the growth of technology as well as customer expectations. Emdeon is a leader in the industry of improving how healthcare is managed.

• Involved in Performance Tuning and Code Optimization for SQL queries at Development and Production stages.
• Coded PL/SQL procedures and functions for module to be called from JDBC.
• Providing the logical data model design, generating database, resolving technical issues, and loading data into multiple instances.
• Created Tables, Views, Materialized – more... views, and constraints.
• Involved in performing calculations, designing and customizing MS excel spreadsheets and designing graphical charts.
• Created UNIX shell scripting for Batch processing.
• Working with production issues on daily basis, which including monitoring the daily job loads, resolving the issues in case of job failures, on call support regarding the job failures.
• Developing and testing the code before move into QA and Production.
• Written Korn shell scripts to automate loading files into database using crontab, error handling and notification. – less

Great Place to work. Great people to work for and with. The skills I leanred at this Company are invaluable from Product Management to Benefit Analyst, Maanager, Trainer, Client Executive. This company stands behind their employees and equips them with all appropriate resources and tools to do the job.

It's a lot like social work and can be a real drudge, but the people are quality and there is a lot of support. If you can handle sitting on the phone all day with agencies and clients with very little interaction with colleagues, it's for you.
