ASCO Power Technologies is a wonderful company to work for. The culture is supportive, friendly and professional. The best part of my job is working for a Vice President who respects and appreciates my hard work. The most difficult part of working for ASCO is the less than competitive salary and benefits offered. I have enjoy happlily and finsihed programs with my co-workers, I m an easy person to get friends. I was hired on with Emerson - ERS as a field engineer.
During the hiring process, there was discussion of engineering topics and activities that may occur in the future if I accepted the job.
The field engineer position included a company truck, some equipment, credit card, and gas card.
There was no local office, the day would start at the job site.
The – more... work teams fostered a caustic attitude toward team communications. The one month of employment included zero team meetings, zero information development from management and the daily work was somewhat of a mystery.
Management was notified that drawings and scope were not issued, there was no response. Management was questioned as to why a field engineer was doing field tech work, there was no response.
Management was questioned about the topics discussed over the hiring process, there was no response.
I put in 24 hour notice and left.
If you desire technical work, and don't mind poor attitudes and poor communication, but simple "although possibly hazardous" work, this is the job for you.
Otherwise, I would and did look elsewhere. – less

Typically I work with a selected group of team members that are directly impacted by the project I am working. I will delegate specific tasks and log feedback from each member.

Rosemount is made up of a lot of of really good people who are very easy to work with each day.

This was by far the best company I have ever worked for. I was able to wright my own schedual. All employees from HR to employees at my level were easy to work with and very respectful and frendly.

you will not lose your job unless you make a serious problem since the company is financially very healthy and does not really have any risky investment. But, the corporate culture is very slow and old. You will say okay if you are calm and enjoying the daily routines.

Was able to take what I learned as an Instrument Technician and apply it to design work using AutoCad. Co-workers were very nice and helpful.
