High School Coordinator, Albany, NY - October 18, 2014
Working at Mildred Elley has taught me so much. Not only am I very knowledgeable in the Admissions department, but I've learned a great deal about the Academics, Financial Aid, and the Career Services departments. Management is supportive and helpful. A typical work day at Mildred Elley consists of making 50-75 phone calls a day, interviewing potential candidates for school, and getting them through the admissions application process. We want all of our students to be successful! My coworkers are like family because the majority of the Admissions department has been there for a long period of time. The hardest part of my job is when I am unable to enroll a student if the parent isn't complying. Some parents aren't supportive of their child going to college, or they are just tired of their child going from one school to the next! The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing the students that I enrolled, walk across the stage at graduation! It warms my heart and makes all of my hard work completely rewarding and worthwhile!
