Madison non-profit organization seeks a full time staff person with exceptional organizational, analytical, communication, and people skills to be our first point of contact with our customers seeking benefits planning and/or career counseling supports. The position will focus on assisting our team of benefits and employment specialists to provide the most effective and efficient services to individuals with disabilities. This individual will provide top-notch customer service and administrative support by responding to inquiries, answering questions, implementing processes, managing correspondence, coordinating service-related meetings, and managing customer satisfaction and service impact data. Ideally, this person will have:
- Interest in understanding and coordinating services that assist individuals with disabilities to enhance their financial security, employment, and self-sufficiency;
- Ability to pay attention to details to develop, implement, and continuously improve administrative processes, data collection, and service efficiencies;
- Aptitude and desire to understand public benefits and how employment earnings impact benefits including Social Security and healthcare coverage;
- Talent for juggling multiple responsibilities, organizing information, and communicating effectively with ERI staff, partners, and customers.
A degree or equivalent experience in a disability, human services, human resources or related field is preferred. Ability to relate, communicate, and engage with diverse professional, consumer, and employer populations is a must. All necessary training and technical assistance in navigating public benefits systems will be provided.
