Politics and production over safety
Field Safety Manager (Former Employee), Cincinnati, OHSeptember 1, 2012
Probably one of the worst privately owned industrial contractors' to work for. Presidents and Vice Presidents aren't concerned with safety, but only production and a dollar amount. The safety director is an outstanding individual but has his hands tied by upper management within the company. Would not reccomend applying for a safety position with them – more... unless you want to be used as a scape goat if something goes wrong on a project. – less

everything you need to work with
boilermaker journeyman (Current Employee), cincinnatiApril 9, 2012
Pros: locations fairly close to home
Cons: jobs were sometimes short and no second break
one of the best union contractors to work for a+...typical day included receiving assignment location and duties. Management was fair to employess and knowledgable in their duties. Co workers were well trained and experienced. Hardest part of job was the confined and restricting areas to do actual welding. Most enjoyable part of job was the hours, pay – more... and overtime available. – less
