Tier 1 - Help Desk Technician (Former Employee) – Fort Lee, VA – November 28, 2016
Would've loved to continue employment but unfortunately the contract ended. Great management, employees, work environment. Job title was there for many years and was not expected to be deleted. After 10 months of employment the contract was void and the department closed.
Subcontracts Administrator (Current Employee) – Alexandria, VA – November 28, 2016
Overall Engility Corporation is a solid company. There have been some changes that have happened due to the merger with TASC including a couple of reorganizations. However this is to be expected during such a change.
The benefits are great. The company is always finding ways to improve employees concerns.
SAMS-E, Tier II Help Desk Analyst (Current Employee) – Fort Lee, VA – October 31, 2016
It was always a great atmosphere to be able to provide support to the soldiers. The company has been a great opportunity but working for a contractor for the government it is constantly being out bided and then employees are layed off or carried over to the next company.
Receiving Holidays Off
The contarctors would always layoff or new contractors would take over
Field Service Engineer (Former Employee) – Fort Hood, TX – October 13, 2016
For a company that branched off from a larger one, they seemed to know what they need to do to work functionally. While it has only been around for a few years, it does seem to be doing pretty well. However, as a Govt. Contracting company, they are forced to wok with other companies and have to abide by their policies/regulations/etc.. Therefore, they may or may not be able to fight for you, in case some drastic comes up with the contract.
Great environment to work at, for a while.
Having to deal with other companies, especially if they are the prime.
The people were the best part of the job. Always willing to help new employees and everyone got along. Not much to say about the company they took out pretty much every benefit except healthcare which even that was awful high deductible plans. They didn't care about employees at all and got rid of the Receptionist to save money.
0 Benefits, Didn't care about the employees at all. Low Pay
Program engineer (Current Employee) – Wright-Patterson AFB, OH – August 29, 2016
It would be hard to write a review for the whole company. Most of the employees work on bases and away from the corporate structure so everyone will have a different experience based on manager and work site. for me it wasn't bad. having access to all the base has to offer a huge plus.
Air force base amenities
personality can get the better of some people and the cubical farm leaves something to be desired
Engility is good at getting big contracts and there are a lot of different opportunities on the inter company network. Senior management has undergone a change recently due to the merger with TASC, etc, and the new team seem to be genuinely engaged with employees and their development.
Flexible work environment.
Like a lot of Federal contractors, everything depends on the contract, which makes job security iffy if a contract comes to an end. Also, there is not always an internal path of advancement within the company.
