About the Opportunity
Responsibilities include assisting the leadership to achieve and maintain Ensign clinical standards. Collaborate with quality improvement and QIT process. Coordinate improvement functions with the Quality Assessment & Assurance (QA&A) Committee designee. Support the operations in maintaining ongoing quality assurance activities related to patient and family services, including QI studies and chart audits to ensure the quality of patient/resident services. Assist with the developing and conducting of in-service education programs. Evaluate effectiveness of the educational and quality improvement process and its outcomes. Be part of a transition team of new buildings and implement the 100-day clinical plan. Formal or informal monthly progress reports to Clinical OPS Team Leader. Serves along with the company president as a clinical liaison in developing, coaching, and serving as a resource to the Team.
This position is based in Southern California and travel will be required (approx. 80% to facilities in the Southern CA area).
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents/patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
- Must be able to work systematically, show initiative and follow through on procedures without continuous supervision or guidance.
- Must have basic knowledge of regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
- Must be able to drive a car.
Registered Nurse with a current license in the state of practice.
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred.
At least five (5) years experience in Long Term Care or related fields.
Demonstrate ability to work with others and assume a leadership role.
Experience in quality improvement.
Knowledge about current regulations/legislation from Federal to State level.
