I worked remotely, away from company headquarters. I was given a lot of independence, working from home when not traveling to support surgical cases. The work with the device was fascinating. A very different hearing implant than anything else on the market. Serving as a liason & technical consultant to surgeons in the field was very rewarding.
Unfortunately I began to feel a little too independent. Aside from one of their former directors, little effort was made to make me feel part of the team. Communication was poor. It is a white male dominated company that gives preference to family & friends. Unethical sales practices directed by upper management led to a near collapse of the company. More than half of employees from all departments were terminated. They are now primarily a R&D company.
