Less than 10 months after CNS Consulting joined EPIC, David Reid led his rapidly expanding company into the largest merger of its 12 year history. In October of 2007, EPIC Information Solutions purchased Prairie Computers, a privately-held information technology company in Winnipeg that had been in business for the past 25 years. The move also brought to EPIC one-half of The Technology Consortium (TTC). The TTC is a unique private-sector partnership including smaller, local information technology companies, which once included Mind Computers, Prairie Computers and Powerland Computers, and now consists of only EPIC Information Solutions and Powerland.
In less than one year, EPIC Information Solutions changed the face of information technology supply in Winnipeg. With the acquisition of two companies and additional hiring, EPIC Information Solutions more than doubled it's staff in 10 months. The acquisitions have also positioned EPIC Information Solutions as the largest and most significant locally owned Information technology reseller in Manitoba.
