What are the average starting salaries, bonuses, benefits and travel requirements like at Epic Systems?
What do you like best about working at Epic Systems? Are there any great perks or special treats for employees?

I recently got an Email from an epic recruiter telling me that I would be good for a Project manager position in there company. it specifically said and I quote "Don't worry, a software background is not required, and the job is not technical in nature. "
My back ground is in medicine and sales. and I am 30 years old.
I looked the company up and it seems like a cool gig, very geek culture like, which is my style. how ever hearing the stories here, specially for the examination of the interview that have to do with Programing have given me concern.
My Q's is for anybody that has worked for or applied for the project manager position. Is there a programing section for the interview as well and if so, any pointers as to how to prepare for it.
thank you,

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Epic Systems?
Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?
What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Epic Systems?

I've got an in-person interview coming up. I'm just curious what sort of relocation packages people have gotten. Did you receive funds or did they just reimburse it afterward? Was there a cap?
I'm just trying to figure out how this works so if I do get a job offer and accept it I have some idea how to plan my relocation.

Hey everyone,
Hope everyone is well. I just received an email for a phone interview for the end of the week or next week for the "Windows Integration Support / PC Technical Services" position. I took the Rembrandt exam as well.
Is there any advice that can be given moving forward? I am aware of the in-person interview if they offer it. However, does anyone know if there are any other exams that need to be taken? I am not a programmer and I have read about programming tests.
I have read countless articles and have a very good understanding about the company and the services/software Epic offers to its clients.
Thank you all for assisting in anyway you can.

I applied for several jobs on Epic's website last week and received my rejection email today. What are they looking for? I had a great GPA (3.8) and am fantastically qualified for all of the jobs for which I applied. I've noticed in some of these forums that there is a possibility of age preference/discrimination. Is 29 too old for them? Would anybody recommend applying again? I need a job badly and was told this was a great place to work with fantastic pay.

For many folks the hiring process at Epic is annoying since they seem to base a lot of their desire to hire on GPA and not on experience. For myself, this was a huge positive, as I decided to start my own business after graduating from college with a high GPA.
I now plan to enter the real world and I got about 80% of the way through the interview process with Epic before I received the dreaded "moving on with other candidates" email.
Now I am curious - are there other companies in the US that have similar hiring practices to Epic? Any other companies out there just looking for engineers with high GPA's and not necessarily any relevant experience!? I need to find these places!

Hi,
I recently applied for a Technical Services position at Epic, and I got a phone interview request today. I know that I still have a long way to go before I actually have to take a written test, but I was wondering if any of the tests for the Technical services position involve programming? If so, are those tests reserved for those with previous programming experience? The listing for the job on Epic's website indicates that the position is open to people in all majors, so I'm assuming that those without a programming background shouldn't necessarily be at a disadvantage?

Hello everyone,
Just got the phone interview for a corporate educator job at epic. To quicken the process, I was wondering what kind of documentation I should have prepared. For example do what sort of legal documentation do they need, like a birth certificate, ss card, etc. I'm two years removed from college as well so do I need to get a copy of my transcripts or my ACT since they did ask for my gpa and act score in the application process.
Thanks for any information that could help!
