National law firm with 11 offices seeks Human Resources Coordinator to work in its New York office. Incumbent will be responsible for the following:

HRIS and Reporting - System maintenance, report writing and distribution, data entry and query development.

Notification Process - Facilitate the notification process by acting as a conduit of information pertaining to new hires, departures and applicable personnel changes.

Performance Management - Point person for viEval, online performance evaluation system. Responsible for system administrative duties including data entry of employee new hires, terminations and changes, linking employees to reporting groups and updating team leader lists. During the annual evaluation processes update and publish the evaluations.

Position and Status Change Letters - Create and distribute position and status change letters.

Unemployment Claims - Partner with the HR Manager and Payroll Manager to respond to unemployment insurance eligibililty claims.

Employee Anniversary Letters - Coordinate, produce and distribute employee service anniversary letters.

Applicant Tracking - Ensure all offices are complying with the Firm’s applicant tracking reporting requirements by conducting periodic audits. Conduct training, as needed, for those responsible for applicant tracking.

Other Duties and Projects - Under direction of the HR Manager and Chief HR Officer, complete, support or lead HR-related tasks and projects

Qualifications:
2+ years' experience in Human Resources. Two-year degree preferred.
Experience with and proficiency in HRIS systems and report writing software.
Knowledge of Humanic, Discoverer and/or viEval a plus.
Strong Excel skills. Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and application of applicable employment laws (e.g., Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Employment Opportunity).
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Successful person will have the ability to work independently as well as coordinate and with all appropriate parties, handle multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. They will be detail-oriented, organized, results-oriented and self-motivated.
They will have the ability to problem solve using sound judgment and be customer service oriented.

Full-time, benefits eligible. Non-exempt position. Pay DOE.
