About Erie 1 BOCES
Erie 1 BOCES provides hearing services for students with hearing disabilities. These services are described below. This service provides direct instruction to students for up to 50% of the school day by a teacher of the deaf/hearing impaired which includes the development of cognitive skills, auditory skills,language development, speech reading, and – more... social/emotional skills, as well as academic support. Audiological services are provided, as well as consultation with classroom staff. Resource rooms are available in the Amherst Central School District at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
