Great campers, excellent staff, and very rewarding.
Counselor (Former Employee) –  Greenwich, CTNovember 4, 2016
Each day is well organized. Processes are in place, unlike some other camps that I have worked for. Everyone there was really welcoming and positive. The hardest part of this job was ending the summer. We helped build memories and experiences for all the campers there and it showed, everyday.

Highly recommend applying. They offer great training as well.

A bad company to work for
Counselor (Former Employee) –  Greenwich, CTJune 5, 2016
if you have the desire to be underpaid, unacknowledged for overtime work, and not paid for it, and be subjected to bad management and their immature behavior, then this is the place for you! I was not paid for clinic work.
Pros
good counselers
Cons
management trying to play above their weight class

The campers were wonderful I had an excellent time when I worked here, I learned a lot of things - things about myself and how to be responsible of yourself and of children who depend on you. Wonderful experience

Pros
Enjoyable work environment
Cons
Had to bring own lunch and long commute for me

Challenging Workplace that Undervalues Employees
Swimming Instructor (Former Employee) –  Haverford, PAJanuary 15, 2015
In the years that I worked for ESF, they enacted a practice called "strategic hiring" which ultimately meant hiring less people and taking on more campers. The pay was abysmal and having two young adults in charge of 24 children can pose a safety risk.
