Essence is seeking a smart and ambitious person to take on the role of Associate Director, Search & Biddable. Reporting into the Head of SEM/DEM you will be expected to help build and manage a team of talented Search & Biddable professionals tasked with planning & delivering truly exceptional campaigns to one of the most respected and well-known brands on the web.
You will work across a plethora of Search and Display trading systems - including search engine platforms, self-serve ad platforms (such as the GDN via Adwords, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) and demand-side platforms.
We’re looking for intelligent people who can passionately represent Essence, lead a team to success, develop the strategy behind category defining campaigns, ensure outstanding delivery to the client and create opportunities for our relationships to blossom. In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with like-minded Biddable professionals and Client Account teams, as well as play a key role in the continuing growth of the agency.
Some of the things we’d like you to do:
Lead the translation of client briefs into innovative Search & Biddable strategies that excite clients and exceed their objectives
Ensure the smooth launch of campaigns and the continual improvement of performance; overseeing optimization and devising a structured test & learn strategy
Support the creation of insightful analysis and engaging reviews, demonstrating the effectiveness of our planning, optimisation and management of activity
Act as a Search & Biddable specialist across a broad array of accounts, demonstrating our capability, gaining the trust of client and strengthening our relationship with them
Manage and mentor more junior Search & Biddable resource, ensuring the timely delivery of high quality campaigns and their continuing development as professionals
Take a lead role in the development of processes and best practice across the Biddable team, and play at part in effective resource management across the team
Use your knowledge and passion for digital to develop thought pieces on trending topics that can be used to build the awareness of the agency (and you) within the market
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
5+ years Search & Biddable experience, preferably agency-side, managing large-scale, complex, CPA driven accounts
You will have experience using multiple search marketing platforms, demand-side platforms and/or publisher side self-serve platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
Strong analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations. A natural affinity with numbers is a must
Strong organizational and project management skills, to ensure you can keep on top of campaigns and can correctly manage the workload of others
Experience getting the best out of more junior team members – through motivation and well thought-out training and coaching
Established and professional communication, presentation, and influencing skills
You’re armed with an active interest in how innovation and technology is driving change in digital marketing
