The Pillars Essentia Health displays to all of the staff and expects everyone to embrace and follow, but are not followed by upper management. The example is set and trickles down, change is just a word that holds no meaning. Attempts at making changes in a slow and steady pace are met with bypass calls to managers and redirection of departmental staff to old ways, being hypocritical in nature. Issues brought up in person to management and nothing is said to apologize or revert to said change originally agreed.
When it comes to patient care, due to being both employee and patient, I am treated differently in I don't receive as polite of care other patients. Have seen instances where staff have openly complained about a patient in the hallway where staff, visitors, etc., can hear it.
