Poor management / communication
Trade Compliance Leader (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXNovember 14, 2017
Poor communication is the key factor for my dissatisfaction. Management will promise things they never intended on fulfilling. I would be given a task only to be thrown under the bus when management changed their minds.

Facilities Maintenance (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXSeptember 19, 2017
Friendly enviornment with steady work flow management was very helpful and productive. I've learned more about a turbine and its components and to better understand how they operate. The best part of the job to me were my co workers as they were friends outside of work also.

Lost in Distractions
N/A (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXSeptember 6, 2017
With no clear path to success the company struggles to retain talent. They are in an extremely competitive industry and are fighting a losing battle. Top management has job security at the expense of middle management.

Decent company; bad management
Sales (Current Employee) –  USAAugust 15, 2017
Hit hard by the downturn in the oil and gas industry.
Highly reactive management. Very little leadership at the President level on up. Not a collaborative environment, more interested in assigning blame afterwards than working together. Not a lot of support or realistic expectations from management.

You can do better
Bottom of the Barrel (Former Employee) –  Farmington, NMJuly 6, 2017
Job is really just about "walking on egg shells". Anyone can get laid off, come in one day and 2 hrs later your asked to sign a pink slip. No warning just give you a box and shoot you out back. Limited people so everyones workload is tripled for the amount of lay offs. Next week they hire new employees.
Pros
Weekends off
Cons
Working with people who are not qualified

Regional Sales Manager (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXJune 7, 2017
Requires a lot of travel and hours but can be very rewarding. Need to have a flexible lifestyle. It is nice to be able to travel to meet your clients and they don't skimp on your expenses.

Company is run by incompetent mid-grade managers who were hired or promoted on the good ole boy network.
Lead Operator (Current Employee) –  Herald, CAMay 27, 2017
Work life balance is poor as operations is shift work which is tough enough but worsened by poor scheduling by managers who don't care or understand shift-work work life balance.

compensation is the lowest in the industry in our work area.
Medical has been getting worse and costs are directed at the employee reducing total pay package.
401k match is decent, at about industry average.
Job security is unstable due to instability of managers and varying execution of discipline policies.
HR is incompetent and routinely doesn't answer questions with other than we will get back to you.
Pros
401k match, stable industry
Cons
Bad management, Poor work life balance, poor scheduling, Below scale wage, Constantly working under threat of being fired, Overpriced poor medical coverage

Horrible Management
PMO Project Manager (Former Employee) –  Humble, TXFebruary 13, 2017
With the Wood Group and TurboCare JV, management went down hill and destroyed the company! Field service was ran into the ground. They put someone in charge that had NO idea what he was doing. There were so many other employees that could of done a better job, hence now the FS division is closed.

QC Inspector (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXNovember 19, 2016
Air conditioned shop. In general a good place to work. Most management was easy to get along with on issues. Good co-workers for the most part, but there are always a few bad apples.
