Sorter, Minneapolis, MN - November 20, 2015
The job was through a temp service with a opportunity to be hired on permanently. A typical day meant 6am start time work until 3 pm. This was warehouse position which meant a lot of noise, dirt, machinery, and work gear. We were required to wear helmets, neon vests , aprons, gloves, ear plugs, and protective eye wear which was very hot in the summer. Heavy labor was required on as a sorter, we worked several hours sorting different recyclable materials into there proper places. You will learn your physical limits and or lose a few pounds while gaining some arm strength. I learned you can recycle almost anything! I encourage all of you reading these review to 1) Take the time to research a recycling company and began thinking about recycling. 2) Be mindful of what you are throwing in the trash or recycling. Any important documents with personal information and photos shred them. if you do not have a shredder tear up the paper by hand. I cannot tell you how many times I came across court documents, school records, scheduled, family photos etc with peoples address, full names and so on and so forth. If you are able to endure the early start times and maintain a heavy physical work day, you will be successful. I enjoyed learning what can be recycled and friendly co workers.
