Customer Service Representative, Derby, NY - April 16, 2015
I loved working for this insurance company. The previous company I worked for had closed after 23 years employment. The insurance company had sent me to school to obtain my NYS Brokers License for Property and Casualty. It was a very busy office but there was a lot of success in being helpful and not only retaining the business but bringing in new policies. There were several offices which I was sent to periodically to cover during absences. My co-workers and I were always on hand to help answer questions (principles before personalities). We represented over 25 insurance companies, and they were also very helpful in all aspects of customer service and sales. The hardest part of the job initially which was juggling work and going to school at the same time, became the most rewarding aspect. I loved when we, as a team, were able to take a customer who was ready to go somewhere else and help them in a way that they not only stayed with our insurance company but become a voice for us in a positive manner. The Vice President of our offices is one of my character references. He is a very hard working man, and expects his office to also work hard, but was always on hand to help and appreciate all the hard work that was done. It was an pleasure working for him and all my co-workers.
