High hopes for the job that the company fell short on delivering.
Pros: Good Pay and Benefits
Cons: Long hours, mirco managed from the General Manager, lack of training
The compensation and benefits package was very good and that drew me in to the company. The company did not properly train employees, at the location I was at, and this resulted in employees not fulling understanding their job roles and struggling to complete tasks essential for their job performance. The Area General Manager micro managed the managed the staff and played favorites among the employees. The Area General Manager did not use opportunities to coach and strengthen the team but when someone made a mistake they would ridicule and humiliate them, both privately and publicly. This office has since closed because they consolidated all branch offices into two centers. I think Exeter Finance has a solid base foundation but this Area General Manager was lacking the management and personal skills to effectively lead a team. Exeter could be a fine company to work for due to the compensation and benefits package but it all depends on who you have for a manager.
