Logistics Manager, Broomall, PA - March 3, 2016
I was brought in on the recommendation of another employee, and managed the warehouse and logistics portion of the business. Pay was modest (but respectable for a college dropout), but the hours were right and there was the perk of getting to travel with the company to trade shows several times per year, which I enjoyed immensely. Management communication was nearly non-existent, especially in a positive way, though, and expectations were not made clear. Normally, unclear expectations are okay if you are given the latitude to make decisions, but it was clear that management had a clear picture in their head that was simply lost in translation, and that led to a difficult work environment very quickly. Most of the coworkers were absolutely amazing, and the work itself was certainly the right mix of doable and challenging, but there were some irredeemable elements of the job.
