Awful place to work
production clerk (Current Employee), STL – May 16, 2013
They work you like a slave. They are never satisfied.Your lucky if you make it 6 mos.The turn over is high. There's no room for advancement. Your promised the world in the interview. When you accept the job it's a different story. They expect you to give up your world, forcing overtime.

Great Place to work with nice people
Patient Care Advocate (Current Employee), Bloomington, MN – March 5, 2013
Great comfortable working environment...The organization of the company is a bit unclear or at least the intentions of organization within the company is unclear, but that could be with regards to the merger between Express Scripts and Medco. The compensation as far the starting salary for a Patient Care Advocate could be better. The benefits (health, – more... Dental) are pretty good as well. – less

Express Scripts is a company that addresses a need not a want. The company truly belives in helping people who have no where to turn to.

Very Bad
Warehouse Associate (Current Employee), Willingboro, NJ – January 30, 2013
Medco was a great company before they was bought out by Express Scripts. When they took over they started laying people off, then would call them back to work for way less. This is a heartless company. I seen them have supervisor walk out there employees then walk out the supervisor. Not to mention its #5 for the worst companies to work for.

Not enough pay for responsibilities.
Patient Care Advocate (Current Employee), Bloominton, MN – January 14, 2013
Pros: offer of vto at the end of shifts when not so busy. great benefits. onsite lunch room.
Cons: promise of advancement but little follow through.
Management is not around very often as they are in meetings much of the day. The co-workers are great and make it fun to work. The hardest part of the job is how busy it can get - call after call without a break.

Convoluted and confused.
MCC Physician Contact Associate (Current Employee), Maryland Heights, MO – December 31, 2012
Pros: decent hours.
Cons: mindless souless work and lack of leadership.
The basics of a call center environment are not unusual to me, however even I found this a confusing employer to work for. They seemed to lack any sort of caring at a employment level and made everyone feel like processed sludge.
I left on fairly good terms with my immediate supervisor but would be hard pressed to even tell you who was above her in – more... the pecking order or if they even came into the building.
It did not help that 1/2 the staff left 2 months after I got the job to go work in a neighboring building doing the same work for $2 more a hour.
But if you don't mind feeling like nothing more than a cog in a machine. Express Scripts might be the employer for you. I found work elsewhere. – less

Recruiter Cntr
Recruiter Contractor (Current Employee), US – December 15, 2012
Pros: advancement opportunities, good employees, growing
Cons: integration
I have had both positive and negative moments, but all and all feel that this would be a great place to work. I feel with the recent aqusitions Express Scripts has still been working to catch up with the integration process. It is never easy to merge two different cultures together but to try and merge several can be overwhelming. I believe when all – more... is said and done Express Scripts will be a wonderful place to work and will provide top notch services. If I could change one thing and only one thing I would change the attitude of the employees from the companies bought out by Express Scripts. I understand they are frightened and are going through a time of uncertainty but if they stop and think about where they would be if the merger never happened they would probably be thankful. Trust me the unemployment line is not a better place to be. I understand that some offices are closing and layoffs never seem to end at times also, but looking to the future the offices and facilities that will be left will be expanding and jobs will be opened. Some of the companies purchased would have closed forever had the aqusitions never taken place. So as we all go through these tough times remember it could always be worse. Look to your neighbor and gaze past where the had been employed prior to the change and realize we all work for one company now and we are all part of the same team and that we should all work together to make this a success or we could all have a very different ending. Express Scripts is a wonderful place work some would say they are cheep and tight with money, but think about it their causion has kept them open. I look forward to their continued sucsess and mine. – less

Productive and Team Building
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee), Chicago, IL – October 25, 2012
Pros: having the opportunity to advance your knowledge in the organization
Cons: cons were technical issues, when the telephones when down.
Typical day at work, was greeting everyone, daily duties that allow me to broaden my skills as an office manager, executive assistant and administrative assistant roled up in one. The more the challenge the more I learned. Management was great, they recognize you for the skills you presented. Co-workers were great on Team Playing. The hardest part of – more... the job, was when there was a slow period in the work flow. The most enjoyable part was creating an atmosphere for professional and friendly office. – less

Best Company by far
Client Services (Current Employee), Mason Ohio – September 12, 2012
Pros: benefits vacation salary
Cons: parking stinks
I started as temp in 09. I got hired permantly 6 months later. I have doubled my salary since Ive started. Only having a hs diploma says alot about a express scripts and how they values their employees. I have been promoted several times since my start. If your a go getter and you get along with others then theres no holden back. Express Scripts will – more... always look at internal employees to promote to the next position before posting a job to the public. We do use temp services because it weeds out the weak from the strong. If you do a good job no worries if your that person that complains all the time well enough said. O yea in pharmacy this business changes every day so be on your game. – less

Worse place to work ever!
Prior Authorization Representative (Former Employee), Mason,OH – August 21, 2012
Pros: nothing
Cons: limited parking, prison drone working conditions, no paid time off if temp, work hours stink, managment doesn't know how to manage, you don't get prepared for the work in "training"
Worked in Prior Authorization dept. They can't keep anyone to save their lives so they outsource from Kelly Services and Aerotek on a Temp-to-hire basis. The training didn't get you ready at all for when you started to take calls. The management team is a joke. The team leads do more work than the supervisors. You work like your in a prison where every – more... move you make is monitored even bathroom breaks. Suck ups and pretty faces make it in this business. They have a non-enforced dress code. One team lead flirts with all the young pretty girls on his team and lets them do whatever they want. When a caller wants to speak to a supervisor do they get one? No they get a trained associate like yourself....this company is a joke and should be treated like one. Don't work here if you value yourself because only the suck ups and pretty faces get anywhere. The parking is so limited most of the time you have to park down the street and take a shuttle bus to the building. Don't waste a drive to interview for this place. – less

Isis – October 19, 2012

This reviewer is quite right. The so-called "training" does not prepare you to do the job. This company treats employees like disposable objects. I worked in St. Louis.

ScottH – October 22, 2012

I was an infrastructure project manager, and had a very negative experience. The corporate culture is the underlying issue. Early on in their development Express Scripts had a highly entrepreneurial 'get it done' sort of ethic that has not matured as the company has grown. You get caught between the imperative to follow industry best practices (good) and the 'old school' mentality that drives for immediate results and time to market (bad). The two drivers are not mutually inclusive. Conflict management within the culture is also quite poor, which limits efforts to reconcile the two conflicting drivers in a professional manner. The end result is an unhealthy work environment.

Great place to work
Patient Care Advocate (Former Employee), Mason, Ohio – July 10, 2012
Pros: lots of free lunches or breakfasts
Cons: schedule provided by outside computerized scheduling.
Express-Scripts is a professional work place. They provide quality in-depth training so that the new hires have the best opportunity to provide a top quality Customer experience. Patient care advocate (Current Employee), Orlando, FL – June 3, 2012
Pros: all
A typical day at work can be streesful depending on the call volume but for the most part you learn so much from patients, leaders, and co-workers. Management is pretty good, you have some that give 110 percent and others that give only 100 percent. The hardest part of my job is educating someone that per their insurance and medication is not covered – more... no matter how much they may need it and the most enjoyable part is hearing someone telling you thank you for going above and beyond. – less

Production Manager (Former Employee), Bensalem, PA – June 1, 2012
Pros: close to home, nice people, exciting place to work.
Nice place to work. Wish it was opened still on Marshall Lane. Hard working employees. Most work to ever go out of any pharmacy. Employees were like family. They really cared about customers.
