Typically 8 hours but there are 9 and 10 hour shifts. Shift bids happen at least 1x per year if needed to accommodate call volume. They do work with you for school or child care needs, you just need to know the right person to ask.

Shift bids are based on employee rank and/or performance. If you get a shift the doesnt work for you, there are options to switch shift w/other co-workers or if you have a valid reason, such as school, to request a shift adjustment, temporary accommodations may be available.

Hard to figure out what was really happening. Deceitful managers will smile in your face one day saying how happy they were to have you on their team and the very next day fire you without giving any warning or reason. Management will make you their scape goat accusing you of doing things based on heresay. The workplace environment is filled with pettiness. For example, if you walk away from your desk to use the bathroom you'd had better tell EVERYONE where you're going because after literally 2 minutes they will go all out looking for you or someone will make an off the cuff comment that "you've left for the day" and now you're in trouble! It was ridiculous. Working there was like working in the twilight zone. Just a lot of crazy paranoid behavior. You just never knew when some hateful co-worker was going to report you or make up a story about something "they thought" you did and now you're having to defend yourself. Even after they realize they got you mixed up with someone else they don't apologize for all the trouble they caused you or make it right and clear your name.
