Extra Space is an excellent place to work and offers plenty of opportunity for advancement. I would highly suggest this employer to anyone.

working day in day out, cleaning whole facility and units, driving your own vehicle for errands, normally working alone, opening and closing facility makes it hard if you have a family emergency with children.

Renting storage units daily.
I learned how to run & manage a multi million dollar company.
Being a manager has opened the door to bigger & better opportunities.
Co-Workers were friendly and helpful.
The hardest part was finding a reason to stay with no advancement possibilities.
The most fun part was the free apartment & working without a lot of supervision.

A day at work was filing paperwork, making calls, customer service, renting storage and retail sales. I learned that all companies required there traiinng for there own computer system. Management was a lil difficult to deal with because they didnt give me the proper training up front. Great place to work. Advancement opportunities available but relocation is mandatory.

Sundays the office is closed, you are required to fill any gapes that may have been left unattended after your work hours. Medical Insurance plan is not good at all. You deal with a lot of great people most of all employes are great to work with (not all). Unless you are making mistakes the District managers really doesn't show up. You have the ability – more... to do your own marketing and schedule. You do all of the cleaning and most of the maintenance repairs your self.

But the best part is that you really get the opportunity to show owner ship the the site or facility that you are at. And show pride in your work – less

This was just a part time job for me-Along with assisting customers, I also did some painting, cleaning, and making sure the property looked good inside and out.

I enjoyed my job with Extra Space. The only down fall was that I worked in a busy office and only had a part time assistant.

They do not train you enough 1 week for customer service not enough. No help to help customers. Treated horribly because department was small. No true organization . Head people at call center have no clue how to run a call center.

I didn't trust managers, a lot of gossip and things going on behind the scenes

Extra Space was a fun job and a great company that cares about their employees. I learned management skills, found some abilities in myself I was not aware of. Most of my co-workers were great. This job was perfect for me as someone with ADHD. The job duties are variable and you meet a lot of people.

Training program is excellent. But make sure facility is owned not Managed.

i experienced the worst time working for this company from being lied on to harrasment....The manager at the 23rd st location in lancaster was very unprofessional and irate most of the time with her fellow employees. I dont see how they keep such rude and disrespectful people working in this company. Its open for law suits, as mine is on the way. Now – more... i see why this company is always hiring!! – less

• Maintain the cleanliness of storage units, bathrooms and office area

This place is a joke to work for. Management treats employees terribly, and expect far too much for a 40 hr work week. Expected to keep 500 units clean, maintained and maintenance free,along with property weed free where there is insufficient means to do so. Job threatened constantly. Mgmt too busy being important in their own mind to help with any – more... problems. Not aloud half an hour of overtime in a 2 week work week, even if customers come in at last minute. Extra Space really cares about their employees and works hard to stay at the top of their game. They have an AWESOME training program for all levels of employees, work very hard to promote from within, and stay on top of all the latest technology and advances. The people were awesome to work with at all levels, and management always tried to "do the – more... right thing". I would recommend this company to work for with flying colors! – less

I work from home now so its nice to not be around drama at work, ive had help from my team leads to help me do better at my job. The social part of work was the best, im very friendly and love helping people thats what my job consists of helping those who are going through a hard time and need storage for their things.

Extra space storage was a great place to work. A typical work day consist of all around cleaning and helping.

Middle management hasn't a clew what is happening on properties.
