EY has a great corporate culture and well meaning programs. That does not trickle down to the Federal Consulting level. The senior managers and directors are unprofessional, rude, insecure, and largely unqualified for the roles they are in. This causes them to choose only analysts, seniors and lower level staff because experienced staff would see through the apparent weaknesses in methodology, approach and work products.
Furthermore, the large amount of subcontract work renders EY dependent on the approach of the prime - that approach in my opinion is not the best and may even erode the brand name of EY when we become associated with business partners who are not of the highest quality or have values not commensurate with EY
Competency, innovation, culture and character occur at the intersection of the project - all else is a bumper sticker unless it occurs at the project level.
