I absolutely loved the people I worked with in the DC office. It was a very dynamic office. When I was hired the office was in transition. They were in the middle of a huge move and a build out. I was very involved from the first day and loved working with everyone. It was exciting and very interesting.
The exceptions was the administration staff. We were poorly staffed with only three admins for 75 people. Only one of those administrative staff worked happy and hard. I inherited a legacy issue that they admitted had been going on for two years. Additionally, I had experience as an Office Manager. This was something that the Director of Administration was not accustomed to. She seemed very threatened by me.There was a serious discontent between the main office in Albany and the DC office. The cultures were very different yet Albany attempted to set the tone and expected the DC office to run exactly the way they did.
