To meet the physical, social-emotional and cognitive needs of children ages 6 weeks through 6 years of age in a licensed, developmentally appropriate child care environment. The teacher must be able to implement Creative Curriculum in their classroom along with principles and philosophies from Reggio Emilia. The teacher must do observations and assessments (twice a year) on each child in their care. Teachers must have open and positive communication with parents and staff at MGA.
1+ year(s) work experience in a licensed center
13 units earned in Child Development
Demonstrated ability to provide affectionate, nurturing care to young children and their families in a safe, developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Infant/toddler teachers must have earned 3 units in Infant-Toddler Development
All college coursework must reflect a grade of C or better
Ability to bend, reach, sit on floor, stand for 1 hour and stretch
Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
Ability to read and write English (bilingual encouraged)
Understanding of and ability to earn/renew First Aid and CPR certification
Verification of the legal right to reside and work in the U.S.A.
Ability to submit Federal 85p form and pass background check
Annual health screening to determine physical and mental ability to meet the duties of the position, to include proof of negative TB test (or medical waiver)
