Logistics Analyst

Job Summary:

Ferrero USA, a leading global confectionery manufacturer with a strong track record of innovations and a great reputation for the quality of its products, is looking for a Logistics Analyst. The job will be located in our Somerset, NJ office.

Overall responsibility is to partner with the 3PL Logistics Manager to support transportation and distribution through auditing and analyzing freight and warehouse spend. Plays a key role in development of budgets, and is responsible for providing analytical and financial support. Responsible for managing transportation claims and customer deductions. Creates, maintains, and reviews reporting metrics to identify opportunities for reducing cost and/or improving service throughout all facets of the supply chain. Heads up the month end reporting process – including understanding and explaining variances from budget and managing the freight accrual process. Performs ad hock analysis, develops queries, analyzes data, maps detailed processes to draw clear and concise conclusions, and identifies opportunities for improvements.

-Gather, report, and maintain detailed data for Logistics Department
-Responsible for month end reporting in conjunction with Accounting and Finance
-Develop the transportation and warehousing operating budgets
-Provide tracking and variance analysis of logistics costs and financial metrics, support on projects
-Extract and gather data from internal and external systems and non-electronic sources
-Verify the accuracy of freight bills approved for payment through our freight payment company
-Work with customer service and 3PL’s to resolve issues and solve problems regarding transportation
-Analyze, prepare, and manage transportation and warehouse claims in conjunction with 3PL provider
-Build relationships with 3rd parties and leverage to maintain/improve relations and access to data
-Maintain and track proof of delivery processing

-Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business (minimum 3.0 GPA)
-2+ years of experience in Logistics or Supply Chain (preferably in Consumer Products)
-1 year of experience directly managing Transportation Claims
-SAP knowledge and usage
-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
-Strong, independent analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail
-Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, willingness to learn
-Results-oriented, innovative thinker with a focus on continuous process improvement, process-driven
-Must be able to work in a team environment and manage conflicting priorities while meeting deadlines
-Must be a self-starter

-Experience with PC*Miler
-Experience working with TMS and WMS, transportation planning
-Understanding of warehouse operations and best practices
-Understanding of transportation law
