Relocate to northern California and make a difference for our community through teaching parents with young children how to manage their finances to their benefit by becoming an AmeriCorps*VISTA for a year.
AmeriCorps*VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) is a government funded national community services project that engages community members in full-time service for one year through various opportunities. VISTA members provide capacity building and program development support to non-profit organizations. It's kind of like an American Peace Corps.
VISTA is about fighting poverty with passion! The VISTA program gives each member a living allowance at poverty level to better assist those also living in poverty. The goal is not to make living in poverty more bearable, but to help those living in poverty to get out and break the cycle.
