A growing landscape company is seeking a motivated, self- starter who is enthusiastic about joining the team and helping the company grow. As a bookkeeper you will directly report to the president of FH& G. A qualifying candidate must possess strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and have a strong attention to details and deadlines. The primary function of this job will require accurate banking and accounting/bookkeeping services.
Responsibilities:
Monthly bank reconciliations of multiple accounts
Maintain accounting journals and ledgers of financial entries and transactions such as disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts.
Enter and track accounts payable weekly invoices
Payroll
Reconcile records with internal company employees and management/ external vendors or customers
Purchasing office supplies & monitoring cash flow
Prepare & review work orders
Provide clerical and administrative support to management/staff as required
Log construction equipment mileage
Quarterly and yearly tax returns
Accounts receivable; create and process invoices in QuickBooks
Scan invoices and job work orders into paperless system and code for file reference or file invoices and job work orders
Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records
Investigate questionable data

Qualifications: **Knowledge of QuickBooks is mandatory; please do not apply if you do not have experience with this software
Advanced computer skills
Preferred 2+ years in administrative/accounting experience in the construction field
Experience working in the construction industry & understanding of construction terminology
Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
Preferred Associates degree in accounting or business
Proficient in QuickBooks & Microsoft office suite ( specifically excel and word)
Effective communication skills both written and verbal
Highly organized and efficient
Must be detailed oriented
Aptitude to work in a small fast paced work environment
Ability to learn new technology
Preference will be given to candidates with construction industry accounting experience
