I tried my best to work with these back-biting women only to be asked to leave my position after 7 years. I was a strong and very productive person there. I am currnetly working on a Bachelors dregree and because I was advancing quicker than the Idiot they hired as a Supervisor, they got rid of me over stupid little piddly things. I wasn't happy enough, I did extra views (Rads request) against protocol. I was the best employee they had, it is definitely their loss. Save yourself the time and apply elsewhere.

I am casual and have been for the past 5 years. I enjoy the flexibilty of working in many different areas. I usually work almost full time hours and am a very dedicated employee with a positive and up beat attitude.

Had been a good place to work, but after director Jeff Powers retired the current management is floundering. Lots of staff changes in the past 6 months. Too top heavy and changes take too long. Counselors go out of their way to get the job done and serve the clients in the best ways they can. Unfortunately management doesn't seem to care about the client experience and it's largely "filling beds" and "don't rock the boat" mentality leaving staff between a rock and a hard place. Also no one knows about the program unless it's word of mouth. There apparently is no way to get an advertising budget. Web presence is largely non-existent. Sad.
The employees had very nice break rooms with vending machines, several microwaves, a couple of refrigerators, and a small library of paper back books. The building had 3 floors and each floor had a break room like this.
Was allowed 2 breaks a day along with a 30 minute lunch.
Pay wasn't the best but at the time I was there the benefits were good.
A scheduler does more then just schedule appointments for patients. Schedulers also take phone calls to leave messages to Doctors, enter demographic information, verify insurance information and transfers calls where needed
Like working for Fairview. Would like to increase wages and work closer to home. However, I need a more challenging position and more variety. I Like working with Patients and Insurance Companies and getting the information they need to support their up-coming procedures and getting that prior authorization. This makes me feel a real sense of accomplishment and utilizes my clinical background
Always a campaign / fund raiser going on, creating some special activties
Too far to drive, too many monotonous accounts to work, would like more interesting cases.

Used to be a nice clinic to work at. New and always changing leadership who do not care, has resulted in a major loss of good employees and what seems to be impossible at getting and keeping new employees. Turn over is high and morale is at an all time low.
Co wokers and MD's are nice
Always work short, get pulled to dept regardless of training, no breaks, always leaving late, supervisors who are cold and uncaring
Culture of Fairview has declined due to the creation of the North, South and Central Regions

Worked for Fairview for 15+ years. Had a excellent experience when working in clinic setting as well as the first seven years of quality department. Fairview systems changed to regions and the new north region quality department leadership is not desirable. The number one reason people leave a job is due to management.

A typical day at work is busy daily work while rooming patients, giving shots and doing PA's/ Refills. I learn how to multitask on a busy day. Work with providers and teammates. Managment was supportive. Some listen and some didn't. my cowokers were easy to get along with. The hardest part of the job was sometime working short. the most enjoyable part of the job was working with patients.

Supportive, fun workplace with great people who are innovative and have expertise in their field. Healthcare is constantly changing, so you must be a person who embraces change and can adapt easily to the change to work here.
It's a fun place to be at, just be ready too hit the ground running from the second you clock in to the second you clock out. The residents are always fun to be around though, even if they do have their little quirks here and there and they can be a handful at times, even when you don't work with them directly.

Awesome place to work- great environment, great patients, great people to work with. Access to cafeteria with healthy food options. Employers could be more family orientated with free employee family events.
A typical day at work involves signing in (at home) and coding throughout the day. My co-workers are hard working individuals who also have long term relationships with Fairview. The most enjoyable part of this job is working with the great staff (fellow coders, doctors and other administrative staff).
Fairview is a great place to work and I would encourage people to apply. Our Facility is busy with great patient care. I have learned to be an execellent Tech with great Patient care. Our staff is amazing. The hardest part of our job is when we are under staffed. The most enjoyable part of my job is everything.
