Could be a life long career if something could be done about the automotive accounts
FAST Approved Canada eligible CDL Truck Driver (Current Employee), Youngstown, OHMarch 18, 2014
Pros: cheap bcbs health insurance for a family with low weekly premiums and low deductibles
Cons: gm account due to uaw rules
To much dependency on automotive freight. Large number of problems on the GM account related to sporadic inconsistent freight and long dock delays due to UAW rules. The company it's self is a good company to work for with a lot of potential but the GM account is difficult to work with specifically because of the UAW. UAW is not friendly to contractors.

truck driving is not an easy job
Truck Driver (Former Employee), Youngstown, OHMarch 13, 2014
Pros: enjoyed my driver managers
For the most part I enjoyed working at Falcon. I stayed out a week at a time. That was the hardest part, missed functions, family and friends.

Over the road, grocery job - subleased by Walmart and Sam's Club through Snyder
Truck driver (Former Employee), Youngstown, OHJanuary 21, 2014
Cons: home time
I drove an 18 wheeler with a van trailer and delivered groceries to different Walmart and Sam's Club stores in the Northeastern United States. I enjoyed my co-workers. Management and dispatch were very efficient. The hardest part of my job at that time was the time spent away from my new family.

safety (Former Employee), youngstowm ohioOctober 21, 2013
Cons: no training, low pay, a lot of work for so little, no respect, drama, huge over turn with corp and with drivers.
TURN OVER RATE IS OUT OF THIS WORLD...managment jumps to fire you in heart bet if you don't kiss their butt..managment believes what others tell them instead of looking for them selves. ..they hold your pay checks or pay you late. drama city...a lot of ladies work in office and they get jealous over the littlest things....DONT apply there..a lot of – more... promises no results. ..and they say they will train you and that is a big lie. Stress level is so high. – less

Pros: i loved the job
Cons: staying away from the one you love.
Their was no typical day at falcon, all you do is drive. What i learned from falcol was respect for the roads and who is on the road with you,and how you should check your surrondings.Management is ok.The hardest part of the job was being away from your family and driving in the winter.

Owner-Operator Liason and Driver Compliance (HR) (Former Employee), Youngstown, OHJune 9, 2013
The HR and compliance department was a nice place to work in. There was always work that needed to be done, so there was not much downtime. File maintenance was ongoing for all drivers, and monthly compliance and reports were the norm. My co-workers were easy to get along with and we all helped each other when possible. I learned quite a bit about federal – more... regulations and mandates. – less

Truck Driver (Former Employee), Youngstown, OHMay 9, 2012
Pros: company it self
Cons: tarping
A typical day would be me picking up coils for delivery. I learned how to do things independently and correct. Management was very helpful and on call whenever you needed help. Co-workers were down to earth and determined to succeed. the hardest part of the job was chaining and tarping a load. I had fun just driving and seeing different sights
