Former Director of Security (Former Employee) – Security – August 12, 2016
This place has an unhealthy working environment. It is rare that any corporate business that doesn't have -- drama. And, Fantasy Springs is quite dramatic when politics is utilized to their advantage, against their employees, they lack integrity and two, management has this self righteous attitude as if their sh** don't stink. Lastly, would not ever, repeat EVER recommend any sane person to fantasy island-- that's exactly the morale in that place. So, beware.. you've been warned
Sloppiness food and leftovers from buffets. Who knows how long its been sitting, yuck..
Leadership is horrible in all departments. Quit trying to micromanage people it will always fail
Regulatory Compliance Specialist (Former Employee) – Compliance Department – August 7, 2016
Truths about the requirements of this specific job description regarding this Department, which is run by the Compliance Department Manager: 1. Interpersonal Skills: You must be open to others ideas – but fail to be open to yours, it’s a one way street, their way or the highway. 2. Teamwork: There is no teamwork everyone expects you to do your job and theirs. When someone is asked to take over a specific project they will say that that’s the job of another shift “they love to pass the buck”. Staff members are very non-corporative, including Management. Your fellow staff members within this department have no reservations on throwing another person in the department under the bus. They will stab you in the back – especially if it benefits them alone and they love to create drama and conflict amongst other employees within the department because they know Upper Management won’t do anything about it. 3. Quality: Poor Quality of Work, don’t be surprised if you have to constantly ask others to revise their information even though they know what is required of them and have been in the department for many years. Many Report Writing Issues from other staff members in this department. Their mindset is: “my work performed is going to get kicked back anyways so I am only going to provide the bare minimum of information”. Management continues to let them get away with it and when you voice your concerns they brush it under the carpet. 4. Adaptability: I agree there are a lot of change, delays and unexpected events but that is only due to non-cooperative staff members and Managementmore... Personnel, poor scheduling of personnel, plus the turn-over rate of this particular department. 5. Dependability: This is dependent on doing what you are told to do by the Compliance Managers with no ifs, ands or what’s about it. You must be obedient to their every will “Must be a Yes Man” at all times. There is a constant turn over within this department so if you’re looking for job security, choose the Casino side Departments. This is a separate admin department which is not part of the Casino. If you have no morals and values and love this type of atmosphere then you will definitely be a good fit for this job at Fantasy Springs Casino. This job states you must have investigative and law enforcement experience but in actuality it is a threat to the Manager of this department and he will not hire you due to intimidation regarding your knowledge and experience. So where is Human Resources involvement in all of this? They are oblivious to what is really going on within the Compliance Department. Other things to take note of: Pay is fairly reasonable for the amount of work required of you but you will be lucky to even get a pay raise between 10-50 cents a year if they don’t put a freeze on raises. I have just touched base with what to expect working for this Department, believe me I could write a lot more on what to expect, especially regarding Management Personnel and the structure within the department itself where everyone wants to be the boss.less

Casino Guest Service Representative (Former Employee) – Indio, CA – June 29, 2015
I worked in the evening so it would be very busy especially on concert nights. I learned many customer service skills and even got promoted while doing so. Management at Fantasy Springs is awesome. They are very caring and honest and even though they might not have a lot of flexibility when it comes to their schedules they will never cut your hours. The hardest part of this job for some people would be standing for the entire shift and/or the cigarette smoke. However, the most enjoyable part of the job is its fast pace environment and the experience you gain.
grunt (Former Employee) – Indio, CA – March 19, 2015
You will be lied to from day 1. Be prepared to work with pretentious incompetent cowards who are only there to fluff their already absurd salaries. Their only standard for management revolves around being pompous and condescending at every turn. There were perks and benefits but to be able to enjoy them, you have to work on a day shift or be the teachers pet to get the time off to attend the employee appreciation events. In my experience the best part of Fantasy was leaving it in my rearview.

Casino Guest Service Representative (Former Employee) – Indio, CA – October 28, 2014
A typical day at work would be surrounded with a great team of co-workers and management, a lot of standing in one place, directing and delivering high levels of customer service to guest and VIP's, confidential data entry, and great knowledge of casino promotions and policies.
The hardest part of the job is just the fact that it is a company where there is smoking and gambling. If you don't smoke, the secondhand smoke might annoy you and as for the guest 50/50 chances of gambling, your bound to have to help a frustrated and or dissatisfied guest every once in a while.
All you have to do is stay positive and do your best to turn every negative situation into a positive. I truly had a blast working for this company and I know they care for their employees a lot.
