Retail is Retail
Stylist (Former Employee), Hanover, MDSeptember 26, 2014
Pros: 40 percent off all merchandise, workshops
Cons: catty work environment, low amount of hours
I appreciated this job and the things it did offer me as a summer job but as I start my second year of college and try to excel as an individual, I need something more concrete that will give me security throughput the school year. With this job, i started with a hefty amount of hours until it dwindled down to only about 8 a week. There was pretty great – more... incentives like 40 percent of all merchandise and provided me with many opportunities to learn like visual marketing workshops. – less

Fun environment to work in.
Stylist (Former Employee), Valley Stream, NYAugust 8, 2013
My daily duties included, keeping the floor clean and neat for the guests shopping benefits, and for corporate to come in and view the store. Also helping customers with questions and needs, and cleaning the store at closing to prepare for the next day. My co-workers were agreeable. The most enjoyable part of the job was the satisfaction of helping – more... customers and hearing the positive remarks of what they had to say about our assistance, even if it were just something as simple as helping them find the right article of clothing. – less

Friendly and very welcoming place to work
Sales Stylist (Former Employee), Yonkers, NYJuly 24, 2013
A typical day of work consisted of coming in with a smile on my face ready work. Helping customers find the clothes they needed and felt great in. Helped receive shipment and restock the store floor for easier shopping for customers. Management was always there to assist us if we needed help. the hardest part of the job i would have to say would have – more... been if someone called out. my most enjoyable part of the job was learning the management responsibilities and to see the look on the customers faces when they know they have found exactly what they were looking for with your assistance. – less

A Professional and Fashion Savvy Workplace
Stylist (Former Employee), Hyattsville, MDJune 24, 2013
Pros: music, clothes, management, hours
A day at work is very entergetic, busy, and fun-filled!
I've learned all about the true essence of affordable fashion for the everyday fashion savvy woman. The clothes are tailored towards the more curvacious woman. The vibrant and expressive designs in our pieces we would have would not only fit the time and season but also fit the indivivual styles – more... of out many guests and clients. Also I've learned many proactive selling strategies that informed our clients of sales and promotions of the day. Assisting with dressing rooms, cashering, and outfit building upon the clients request.
Overall working in a place like this is exciting, inspirational, and creative. We are a family who are all about our fashion.

Productive and fun work place with great work music.
Stylist (Current Employee), Livingston Mall, NJJuly 27, 2012
Pros: 40% employee disount
Cons: short breaks
A typical day involves getting a warm up from the manager or key holder. A warm up involes how much money the store needs to make for the day and how many body shapers need to be sold.

Iv also learned how to create color stories using merchandise which makes eaiser for both the customer and the stylist when choosing out the right outfit.

I think management – more... could be a little more stirn with empoyees but the customer service great.

This job is a bit of a challage, especially having to stand during your whole shift, the pressure of makeing your personal goal of body shaper sales and also trying to give the very best in customer service 100% of the time. That being said, without a fully commited staff you can experience a shif in co-workers on a monthly basis along with dealing with attitudes beacause of budding heads.

The hardest part of the job is fitting and selling body shapers.

The most enjoyable part of the job is getting to know knew people and making women feel beautiful. – less
