A typical day at work
Assistant Manager (Current Employee), Racine, WI – May 22, 2012
Pros: they have a great flexible schedule
Cons: low pay and hours
The day always starts with the customer, cars are greeted promptly and the customer is informed about our services and guided to the waiting area. All cars are inspected to our specifications and quality checked before they leave to make sure there are no problems, leaks or frame drips. we try to make sure that the customer is only in the shop for ten – more... to fifteen minutes for a standard oil change, extra time is allowed for different services such as transmission flushes, at that point the customer is informed of the time it will take to perform each service.

Down time in-between cars is spent cleaning, painting, lawn care, fixing any problems with machines and equipment. Also we do our inventory, receive orders, paperwork, etc.

The beginning and end of day consist of shop prep for the next day, counting the money, bank runs, credit card machine opening and closing. – less

Busy, past paced
Receptionist (Former Employee), Fratton – July 6, 2012
Pros: 1 hour unpaid lunch
Cons: 9 hours a day
Build up alot of confidence with taking a receiving phone calls, everyday was diffrent depending on how many MOT's, services and repairs where booked in, it was really hard working In the motor industry and learning how to make estimates and invoices but all together it was a fun and past paced job and it made the day go quick when busy.
