Associate Manager (Full-time) (Current Employee), Fairview Heights, ILMay 27, 2014
I loved most of the people I worked with. The management was well trained and easy to understand. They did great working around busy schedules and school hours. They always make sure you get the hours that you need.

The supervisor/GM was rude and not good at her job. Worked there for a few months and only saw her twice. Her AGM and managers where the ones that ran the business and she took all the credit. Never would recommend anyone to work there unless there was a new GM

cashier (Former Employee), Jackson, MIApril 21, 2014
Pros: 50 percent discount
Cons: understaffed
Its a restaurant job so there are pros and cons. Staff were nice, and sometimes they weren't nice. I liked working with customers. The pay was low, and the work was hectic. It was challenging, but fun at the same time. Manager was nice.

Typical restaurant work
Associate Manager (Former Employee), Greenwood, INApril 7, 2014
Pros: free food, friendly enviornment
Cons: lack of benefits, no potential for advancement
This was the first solid job I had in and out of school. The opportunity presented itself for management and I jumped on it because I knew it would help me down the road.

A typical day at work consisted of afternoon deposits, recovery of dining area, and overall upkeep of facilities. Because it is a growing chain, business was often sporadic and unpredictable. – more... It definitely kept me on my toes.

Management, as with any restaurant, had its faults. The store, in a general sense, was pretty well run, however. They provided a wonderful reference for the job I took after I left and even offered to keep my name on payroll in case things went sour or fell through. I shadowed at other stores and the story was the same; a small, close-knit staff with reasonably low turnover rates.

I worked with a majority of teenagers. Say what you will, but they were some of the friendliest and more down-to-earth coworkers you could have. I enjoyed my time with them.

The hardest part of the job was maintaining "hours". You had to decide who to let off early, if letting crew off early was a good idea, or if you would be okay cutting it short. Often times, it was okay, but you may run into an occasional night of disaster by this.

My most enjoyable part was interacting with the customers. As with any business, the primary focus was sales and not necessarily making sure the customer is satisfied. Typical stuff, no surprises there. – less

I enjoy working hard and get along with most of my fellow co-workers. Its just not the career path for me.
Associate Manager (Current Employee), Frankfort, KYMarch 3, 2014
Pros: fun, fast paced enviroment, dealing with different people daily
Cons: no set schedule or insurance or benefits, poor pay
I enjoy my duties and responsibilities at Fazolis. The schedule is unpredictable however, one week i will work mostly days, the next week i could be working all nights. this makes it difficult to set up baby sitters and have a set routine at home. i dont mind long hours or hard work, its just the random schedule pattern. i am thankful to have employment – more... but its not the career i am wanting to have long term. there are also very little benefits and the pay isnt as much as i would like it to be. other than that, its not a bad place to work. – less

Cons: lack of training, hostile enviroment
I typically do one thing. Prep. I've learned little beyond what they have me do. Job isn't difficult, just boring and lonely.

Time for a step forward
Point of Sale Associate (Current Employee), Lexington, KYDecember 17, 2013
Pros: flexible hours
Cons: short breaks, unfair management staff
My current place at Fazolis isn't a hard one at all, but due to some of our management it's not worth the minimum wage pay. I am a very loyal worker myself and if it wasn't for leaving for school I would have already pursed a new job. Work conditions here are unfair for certain workers and as hard as I work and I even ask to cover others shifts just – more... to earned that little extra money each paycheck the work goes unnoticed and the unfair treatment continues. – less

Cashier/Cook (Former Employee), Indianapolis, INNovember 27, 2013
A typical day at work involves helping customers have the best experience possible. This includes helping the servers when needed and making sure that my duties are done so that the restaurant stays clean and presentable.

Great job to learn about the restaurant business
Hourly Associate (Current Employee), Fayetteville, NCNovember 24, 2013
Pros: free meals, friendly environment
Cons: no room for growth in the company, no raises in the 7 years i have worked there
A typical day at work was to take orders, expedite food, deliver the food, and clean up after customers left. I had to use the register and do a good deal of customer service. I had to keep my area of the restaurant stocked while doing Front of House shift. The hardest part of the job is just knowing that no matter how hard you work you won't grow in – more... the company. The most enjoyable part of the job for me was honestly customer service. I enjoy helping customers and making their experience enjoyable. – less

easy job and i worked with family
Line Cook/Prep Cook (Former Employee), Abilene, TXNovember 17, 2013
Pros: 50% discount
Cons: extra hours if requested
I would show up and get my things ready for my shift and what my cleaning job was for that day and the day was always the same as other days just work and getting another day over with and I learned how to work on a line at a fast pace and how to fix orders that were not done the correct way most of the managers we had were nice and easy to get along – more... with and some were hard to work with do to making me fill like the way I am doing a task is wrong when I was taught to do it the way I was doing it my co-workers were cool and fun to work with do to that they were my brothers and co-workers that I have worked for a year and a half the hardest part about this job is having to listen to the things that were said by managers and not react to them and the most enjoyable thing was that I liked that I worked with my brothers and that I was one off the ones that new co -workers would ask about how to do a job task . – less
