Engineer (Former Employee) – Irving, TX – April 18, 2016
This is a busy company that is great to its employees and family. In return long hours are expected as well as fullfilling your numbers. They send birthday and aniversary cards and provide family meetings. I learned a lot here
Working at FHLB Dallas was an experience. The position was a temporary job that turned into a permanent position. This company has an atmoshphere all their own and I was glad to have had the experience, but was glad when the position ended in a layoff.
Not a team environment and negative co-worker interactions.
IT (Current Employee) – Irving, TX – July 24, 2015
on the surface things seem ok but after a few weeks reality sets in. They require a lot of education but strip you of decision making ability and independent thinking. All actions require multiple levels of approval. Everything is urgent, call you at home on weekends, holidays, funerals. Co-workers are cruel to each other routinely, there are a few nice ones but most are just mean. Humiliation is routinely used in meetings and upper management looks the other way. HR is oblivious to what's really going on. Stay far away from this place if you can. Check out the glassdoor.com reviews.
Great job right out of college. Leaving away from friends and family was hard, but great learning experience.
Bank Auditor Lubbock Branch (Former Employee) – Irving, TX – March 4, 2015
Day consisted of traveling to outlying areas to audit and report back to home office. Hardest was the travel - driving, but the people were enjoyable and cooperative. This was a great learning experience on how to be discipline with my time and workload.
