Marketing Representative (Former Employee) – NC – November 8, 2017
Company has a great training program and starting salaries are very competitive. The downfall is that yearly goals are not realistic for a lot of the markets and territories assigned to entry-level employees.
HR Supervisor (Former Employee) – Atlanta, GA – July 1, 2017
Since I've worked there, all operations have moved to Owattona, MN. except for sales and claims. I enjoyed working there until my boss retired then they restructured the whole HR department. Company no longer in Atlanta.
Work Comp Adjuster (Former Employee) – Overland Park, KS – May 11, 2017
Claims Handling = high volume of files to manage. If you enjoy interviewing both the employer and the employee for work related injuries and dealing with a large volume of cases, claims is for you. I did not enjoy the work load although I did learn a lot.
Marketing Representative (Former Employee) – Kansas City, MO – November 2, 2016
Can make pretty good money as a Marketing Rep, though you have to play the game that Federated wants you to play. Good entry level position into the insurance field, though watch out for people in this industry, very few are trustworthy.
Micromanaged, Reports, Playing the life insurance game
Managers were completely disconnected from employees - felt like they were completely indifferent to you unless you made a mistake. Made me dread going to work - the only thing that kept me going were my immediate co-workers.
Marketing Representative (Current Employee) – York, Pennsylvania – April 7, 2014
Federated Insurance is a tremendous organization. My desire to find a new opportunity is not based on any negative feelings towards Federated but I am interested in relocating to a more metropolitan area or back home to Philadelphia and the surrounding areas.
Federated expects consistent work ethic and in exchange offers flexibility and compensation.
I received incredible training from Federated at their expense.
Again, a tremendous organization that I am proud to say I worked for.
