Federated Investors, Inc. (Federated), together with its consolidated subsidiaries, is a provider of investment management products and related financial services. The Company sponsors, markets and provides investment-related services to various investment products, including mutual funds and Separate Accounts (which include separately managed accounts, – more... institutional accounts, sub-advised funds and other managed products). Federated provided investment advisory services to 158 Federated-sponsored funds (the Federated Funds) as of December 31, 2008. Of the 158 Federated Funds as of December 31, 2008, Federated’s investment advisory subsidiaries managed 50 money market funds totaling $327.3 billion in assets, 51 fixed-income funds with $19.3 billion in assets and 57 equity funds with $17.5 billion in assets. In December 2008, Federated announced the completion of the acquisition of Clover Capital Management Inc.
