Walk thru all areas, cleanlines, repairs, note items to be taken care of during the shift. Assigning tasks during down time, taking in deliveries, cash handling. Follow through on all tasks, research to find missing items. Upper management, willing to teach new aspects of the job and offered to get you more involved when you expressed interest.
