Old School
Operations (Former Employee) –  Newport News, VAMay 22, 2017
The Sr. Management has a large preponderance of white males with very little diversity of thought.
The company has a long standing sales cultural which unfortunately overlooks the Operational teams.

Regional Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  Greensboro, NCMay 17, 2017
I am a highly motivated individual with a never ending thirst for knowledge and I feel that Ferguson has put a damper on my growth opportunities. Ferguson offers good benefits and I am blessed to be employed, but I would not recommend to work here.

work hard and be prepared to let that quote/order you've slaved over, be taken by another consultant.

no work/life balance

management doesn't manage - if you like short skirts and plunging necklines, then you'll fit in just fine here.
Pros
pretty showroom
Cons
come in early, no lunch, work late, have your client base stolen by other sales consultants

Associate (Current Employee) –  NJMay 16, 2017
If you have a solid work ethic, motivation, and thick skin you can succeed with this company. The hours can be very long and challenges unending, but success is rewarded as much as failure is not

Warehouse Associate / Order Selector / Inventory (Current Employee) –  Mira Loma, CAMay 15, 2017
Order selecting in a fast pace environment, You are to keep your productivity at 100% and long hours of work. Management is friendly and are always very polite. The company has a lot of turn over because of the long hours and fast pace environment, the hardest part of the job is to keep your 100 % productivity working 12 hours everyday including some Saturdays.
Cons
short breaks, good insurance but high premiums

Receptionist (Former Employee) –  Lubbock, TXApril 29, 2017
With a great staff of designer and plumbing counter employees.
This company seems to flow at a busy yet layback pace.
Such an amazing place to create you dream kitchen or bath, whether you have new build or remodeling. Ferguson staff will go above and beyond to make you day. The hardest part of this job was so much to learn so little time. What was most enjoyable about this company, was they always too time out to show our customers how much they appreciated them.

Picked orders (Former Employee) –  Front Royal, VAApril 26, 2017
You have a 90% chance of getting laid off. I got laid off along with about 100 people. Then they give you advice on were you can get foodstamps church help ect. They pay good if you like to run nonstop they punish even better if you mess up. 0 out of 10 would work here again.
Pros
Cash bonus if you make 100% on production. Good luck and dont miss a day in that time frame.
Cons
Management, prison setting, consequences for mistakes. Production work.

Top Distributors for Industrial and Commercial Equipment
Sales Representative (Current Employee) –  Springfield, VAApril 26, 2017
A typical day at work would include face to face interaction with customers, while interacting over the phone with purchasing developers to coordinate sales orders. I have learned to communicate within the Ferguson culture and how each account is
handled differently. Managing each account takes time to learn, as well as the communication with the account. Following each step of the sales process carefully leads to a successful sale and client based relationship. Difficulties in this position are managing 45+ accounts between six employees, this requires optimum communication between each employee. This creates great chemistry throughout the sales process, not only for the sales team, but more importantly for the customer.

Inside Sales (Former Employee) –  Metairie, LAApril 21, 2017
The hours are long and your job requirements change by the minute. If you like dealing with a lot of managers than this is the place for you, there seems to be more managers than regular associates.
