I have an interview with them and I was told that I would have to go through a background and credit check. Does anyone know exactly what they're looking for in these checks. Thanks

Anyone know what type of drug test Fidelity Investments uses? I'm not some drug addict or anything, I just smoked a little pot at my friends 40th B-Day in late May and I know a hair or swab test would still show that. I don't smoke it regularly I just happened to since it was his 40th and we were remebering the good old days and its was before I knew this oppurtunity would arise. I know I'm fine with a pee test but was concerned about the others. Any input would be great!!!

Every business has it's own style. What is the office environment and culture like at Fidelity Investments?
Are people dressed in business casual, jeans and t-shirts, or full-on suits? Do folks get together for Friday happy hours and friendly get-togethers?
What is a typical day in the life of an employee at Fidelity Investments?

I've been told that not only does Fidelity do criminal background and credit check BUT they also do salary verification? Is that true?? I thought they only did background (criminal, education, etc) and credit checks.
Can someone please confirm.
Thanks

I have a question for all of you out there. I recently applied for a position at Fidelity and was offered the job on the spot, granted on a temp basis for now. I am now going through the veritude background security check. While i have lived a rather exemplary life, i have a blip on the radar. I was in a car where a substance was found in January of 2004 (just about eight years ago). No convictions, case was ultimately dismissed, but I had no choice but to disclose this information on the application knowing full well that it's much better to be honest than lie (question was "is there any event from your past that may question your integrity?"). Honestly, what are my chances here? The folks from my boss, to future coworkers right down to the HR people have been nothing but impressed with me. Does fidelity have a zero tolerance policy on things of this nature? Government security checks for example have a whole list of reasons why and individual in this exact situation should be allow to posses classified information. I'm am really freaking out here because i'm in love with this job. thanks everyone.

I am in the final leg of my interview process with Wells Fargo Advisors and I am looking to get some insight into first year expectations with different companies as well as the pro's and con's with each company compared to Wells Fargo. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I want to make sure I am making the right decision. Thanks in advance for any responses.

It's always hard to know what to expect when going in for that interview -- and preparation can make all the difference. What is the interview process like at Fidelity Investments?
Any advice on striking the right note?
