Typical day at work high energy, good customers, i learned alot of things in the short amount of time i was there, things about different fruit a new position about being a cashier. Management was 50/50 not so good on my account they didnt know how to communicate with eachother. My co-workers were fun and helpful to be around. CASHIER (Former Employee), Houston, TX – October 3, 2012
Pros: working with the public
Cons: no benefits, small amount of hours
I learned to work with a lot of different kind of people and cultures. The people I worked with were awesome everyone was very friendly. The direct management I worked with were very friendly and caring people. The hardest part of the job was the location being directly downtown and at dark time it can be a place that is unsettling but over all it was – more... a very good experience. – less

The atmosphere at this job was wonderful, the customers were friendly and very loving. I enjoyed going into work everyday. The management was a bit bias but I over looked that.

Cashier Register & Grocery Bagger (Former Employee), Fort Worth, TX – July 14, 2012
Pros: there is two breaks evey seven hours
Cons: the breaks are only 15 minutes
an every day at a grocery store starts by cleaning my register, balance my money tray, and start checking out customers the fastest way possible. i learned to have a pleasant conversation with customers. the management is well organized and takes care of all of the needs of customers and employees. co-workers is the best part of the job since the long – more... hours go by so easy with just a small talk to somebody. the hardest part is dealing with stubborn customers, the most enjoyable is having the customer appreciate the job well done and the friendliness. – less

Working with customers in person has always been the most enjoyable part of the job. There were days where we would be really busy and muli-tasking was deffinately a skill you needed. Cash-handling was also another skill you needed to be familiar with as we delt with plenty of incoming cash. Not only from customers, but from the cashiers as well.

Cashier (Former Employee), plano tx 75074 – May 5, 2012
Cons: short brakes
it would be a slow day and i would help restock or clean depend on how busy it was that day. my co-workers were able to help me with the many different codes in the store for fruit and vegetables. the hardest part is dealing with customers that accept the price an would fight to get it lowered. my enjoyable job is seeing customer smile coming and leaving – more... the market. – less
