About Financial Firm
The Financial Firm was founded, in 1992, by Mark H. Rosen, a Beverly Hills Police Officer, in the City of Westlake Village, California. The Firm originated mortgage loans exclusively for those in law enforcement and marketed to peace officers throughout the State. In 1994, Tyler W. Liljekvist, a Senior Deputy with the Ventura County Sheriff's Department, – more... wanted to look for a way to save his peers money with their real estate transactions. Tyler was always interested in real estate, but knew there had to be a more cost effective way to provide mortgage funding. After being introduced to Rosen, Tyler soon found himself working as an Associate with The Financial Firm. He continued to work full-time with the Sheriff's Dept. and also built up a rather large clientele base with The Financial Firm as well.
Tyler was injured in the line of duty after a prominent thirteen year career. He served the last four years in law enforcement as a K-9 handler with a German Shepherd by the name of "Henk von den Zwei Steinen." In addition to putting a smile on the faces of hundreds of school children, Henk was responsible for locating and apprehending several felony suspects. He was also cross-trained in the detection of narcotics, which also led to many arrests and convictions. Henk won several awards at various police dog trials throughout California in the areas of Agility and Narcotics Detection. Today, he is enjoying a leisurely retirement with the continued love of the Liljekvist family.
Prior to his retirement in law enforcement, Tyler rapidly worked up to the position of Managing Director with The Financial Firm. Upon his disability retirement, was offered a 50% partnership with Rosen, which he gladly accepted. In 1998, Tyler purchased The Financial Firm in its entirety and relocated its offices to the City of San BuenaVentura, CA. Mark Rosen is still active with the City of Beverly Hills and continues to work as an Associate with the Firm.
The Financial Firm has been built slowly to ensure sound ethical and Biblical financial principles. Because of this, the company continues to grow on a solid foundation and now offers the same high quality services to the general public. The Financial Firm has a reputation for making their clients top priority, meeting their (often unique) needs, and saving them money.
Today, The Financial Firm markets to over 50,000 law enforcement professionals throughout the State of California. In addition, their referral base is quickly spreading throughout the other bordering western states.
Tyler is featured as a regular monthly columnist for the Peace Officers Research Association of California magazine. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Police Dog Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit civilian organization dedicated to the furtherance of K-9's in law enforcement. Tyler also serves on the Board of Directors for the Morgan Creek Christian Academy, a private school in the Ventura area and is working toward becoming an executive Pastor under the Assemblies of God denomination. Tyler has a heart to assist others in learning to manage their own finances as a Christian Financial Counselor.
